Educator at the Institute of Ecological and Experimental Architecture, focusing on sustainable architecture with an emphasis on energy efficiency, material adequacy, and the quality of the indoor environment.

He works at the Faculty of Architecture of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, at the Institute of Ecological and Experimental Architecture, where he leads the Architecture 2020 center. He is a licensed architect registered with the Slovak Chamber of Architects (SKA) and a Certified European Passive House Designer (CEPHD). He co-founded several organizations, including ArTUR, BicyBa, and the Institute for Passive Houses (iEPD), of which he is currently the chairman. He also represents iEPD in the “Buildings for the Future” platform.

In his professional practice, he focuses on designing energy-efficient and environmentally friendly buildings. In his teaching and research, he is dedicated to green architecture. He has participated in international projects such as Environmental Quality Assessment of Residential Environments (as project leader), ECOCITY, INTENSE, and EUROPHIT. He is the author of books such as NEED – Designing Energy Efficient Houses, Efficient Living (co-authored with R. Špaček), and Sustainability Assessment of Architecture (with L. Krajcsovics), and a co-author of the Manual of Sustainable Architecture.
