Why was CARA Academy created?

The climate threat calls for the immediate activation of experts across all sectors — especially young people, the future creators of our living environment.

The technological complexity of buildings, stricter energy and quality standards, and the growing integration of architecture with technology are placing ever-increasing demands on the professional preparedness of architects.

EVOLVING NEEDS IN EDUCATION

The education system struggles to respond flexibly to the rapidly changing content demands brought on by the climate crisis — and equally to the evolving forms of learning that align with the expectations of today’s young generation.

LACK OF TECHNICIANS

Technical education is facing low interest from young students, which results in a shortage of designers in practice and at the same time increases the demands on architects’ technical skills in the field of building technologies
